Dean has more than 30 years of executive assessment and development experience across industries and geographies. He is the senior-most member of the firm's leadership consulting business, which he co-founded in 2001. Since this time, Dean has led over 100 CEO selection and succession assignments. Dean's research and insights have been featured across a wide range of interviews, presentations, talks, white papers, and articles, including in the Harvard Business Review. He was chosen by his field of industrial and organizational psychology to write a definitive book on executive assessment entitled Senior Executive Assessment: A Key to Responsible Corporate Governance. Dean's ideas were also included in Ram Charan's book, The Attacker's Advantage: Turning Uncertainty into Breakthrough Opportunities. Prior to joining the firm, Dean was a consultant and researcher in the Management Development Center at IBM's corporate headquarters. Dean received his Sc. B. in psychology from Brown University and his MS and PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from Virginia Tech.
