David Holl is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Private Equity Practice, advising global investment teams on pre‑investment strategy, due diligence and transaction-related leadership decisions. With experience across asset management as well as global banking and markets, he brings a broad perspective to the leadership challenges inherent in investment and value creation. David is known for his trusted counsel on management team assessment, helping clients integrate leadership considerations into 100‑day plans and broader value‑creation strategies to support informed investment decisions. Expert in pre-investment diligence and management analysis Over the course of his career, David has advised on hundreds of complex engagements, supporting transactions representing tens to hundreds of billions of dollars invested across public and private markets. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, David served as director of business development at a leading global investigative research firm and previously as a business development manager at a full‑service Am Law 200 law firm based in Minneapolis. Earlier in his career, David held client-facing roles at Thomson Reuters, F2 Intelligence Group and a U.S. bank. Along with his law degree, this experience informs a well-rounded, commercially grounded advisory perspective. David holds a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law and earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in Middle Eastern studies from the University of Minnesota.
