Cynthia Dow is Hub Leader of the Boston office at Russell Reynolds Associates and co-leads the firm’s global Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Officers Practice, while also serving on the Board & CEO Advisory Partners group and the firm’s Executive Committee. She specializes in retained executive search for general counsel, chief legal officer, and chief compliance officer roles, as well as board and corporate governance assignments across industries including legal, consumer, industrial, technology, energy, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and financial services, serving both Fortune 500 companies and private equity portfolio organizations. In addition to executive search, she works closely with the firm’s assessment and development practices, supporting board director evaluation, succession planning, and talent benchmarking initiatives for senior legal and compliance leadership roles. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 2009, she served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Cadbury Schweppes, Vice President and General Counsel at Optical Switch Corporation, and practiced law as an Associate at Baker Botts LLP. Earlier in her career, she also served as a Senior Law Clerk for the U. S. District Court, Northern District of Texas. Cynthia holds a JD from Columbia Law School and a degree from Cornell University, having also attended Phillips Academy Andover.
