About Binley
As a leader in the field of executive search, Chris has honed his skills and expertise in executive leadership across a broad spectrum of industries. Known for his ability to consistently deliver top-tier results, he has a proven track record of guiding organizations toward success. His career reflects a strong commitment to talent strategy and organizational development, honed through his diverse experience in both higher education and the private sector.
Chris began his career as a high school English and Spanish teacher before transitioning into advancement at the University of Idaho. His early years in teaching and coaching ignited his passion for education and helping others grow, both personally and professionally. He has since worked with talented leaders at organizations including Washington State University, Gonzaga University, and Ruffalo Noel Levitz, bringing an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset to each new challenge—whether launching campaigns or driving growth.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Chris is deeply engaged in his community. He supports various initiatives, including youth sports, the Bite2Go feeding program, The Jonah Project (which aids survivors of human trafficking), and the Rockwood Retirement Community. He also serves on the Life Center Church Council Board and, together with his wife, Tonya, supports local nonprofits, particularly those helping at-risk children and mothers.
Chris holds a Master of Higher Education Administration from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Spanish from Rocky Mountain College in Montana. When not working, Chris enjoys skiing and mountain biking in the Pacific Northwest.
