Charles Tribbett, III, is Vice Chairman of the firm, previous co-Lead of the Board & CEO Advisory Partners and a key member of the Chicago office. He is a senior advisor and consultant to corporate boards and CEOs in corporate governance and fiduciary responsibilities. Charles is an expert in CEO and executive succession planning, board succession planning and refreshment, board and committee evaluations, CEO recruitment, inclusive board leadership, and governance benchmarking. He advises numerous Fortune 300 companies on new CEO recruitment, search and succession planning, as well as board member alignment, CEO and activist investors. He has led CEO assignments such as Cardinal Health, Avnet, Walgreens, CDW, Motorola, TIAA, Raytheon, Bank of America and ACI Worldwide. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Charles was a corporate lawyer for a number of years with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Charles received his BA from Marquette University, with honors and Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his JD from the University of Virginia. Charles serves on several boards, including the Northern Trust Company, where he chairs the Compensation & Benefits committee and is a member of the Governance and Nominating committee. He is also a member of the boards of Rush University Medical Center and Northwestern University, as well as a member of the Dean's Advisory Board for Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
