Celeste Whatley is the Chief Executive Officer of TRANSEARCH International, one of the world’s leading executive search organizations. With over 25 years of tenure at the firm, Celeste has been a driving force behind its global operational excellence and strategic growth. She initially joined the leadership team as VP of Marketing, Technology, and Quality, where she built the firm’s technology infrastructure and brand strategy from the ground up, before ascending to Chief Operating Officer and eventually CEO in 2017. Her professional background is rooted in managing complex, multicultural environments and navigating the intersection of human capital and technology. Before her long-standing career at TRANSEARCH, Celeste held pivotal roles in the insurance sector with CGU and Commercial Union in South Africa, where she specialized in eBusiness strategy, call center management, and Human Resource Development (HRD). She is an expert in competency-based training and assessment, having spent her early career designing methodologies to improve organizational performance. Celeste holds a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Bath and a BA in Political Science from the University of Johannesburg.
