Cecilia Nelson-Hurt is the Chief Inclusion and Belonging Officer at Heidrick & Struggles, a premier global provider of executive search and leadership advisory services. In her role, she leads the firm’s global strategy to foster an inclusive culture and drive equity across all business units. Cecilia is an expert at crafting impactful organizational strategies that align inclusion initiatives with overarching business goals, ensuring that belonging is a core driver of organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. Her career is marked by nearly 14 years of leadership at L'Oréal, where she served as Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion. During her tenure, she headed the Diversity Education Pillar for L’Oréal USA, embedding gender equity and multicultural strategies into the corporate culture and managing talent development for iconic brands like Maybelline and Garnier. Her earlier experience includes a six-year tenure at JPMorgan Chase, where she pioneered diversity recruitment relationships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). A certified executive coach and international speaker, Cecilia holds a BBA in International Marketing from Pace University and a Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University. She is a dedicated community leader, having served as a long-standing board member for YouthBridge-NY, and is an active member of Chief, a private network for senior women executives.
