Alessandra Abate leads the global Biotech and Pharmaceuticals Practice and is a key member of the firm's Healthcare and Corporate Officers Sectors. She leverages more than a decade as a pharmaceutical executive to advise boards, CEOs and senior leaders of multinational clients undergoing business transformation. Alessandra focuses on leadership and succession assignments, talent benchmarking, executive assessment and coaching. Currently based in Amsterdam, she has been working globally for the past decade, living across several European countries. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Alessandra spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry, where she served at MSD, Amgen and Boehringer Ingelheim in country, regional and global commercial roles. She built a reputation as a change leader, successfully driving business model transformation in product commercialization. EDUCATION & AFFILIATIONS Alessandra received her degree in foreign languages and literature, with honors, from the Universit� di Roma La Sapienza, and her MBA, with honors, from the Universit� LUISS Guido Carli, both in Rome, Italy. She is also an MMS certified coach and speaks fluent English, Italian and Portuguese.
