Our client, a multinational company in the accessories industry with design capabilities in Europe and manufacturing plants in Asia, is seeking a VP of Procurement to oversee strategic procurement, purchasing, and new product development. Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement, the successful candidate will manage teams in HK, China, and India on supplier management, cost control, and negotiation. They will also collaborate with the design team in Europe on new product development and ensure a smooth supply of parts, as well as lead global business projects and integrate business processes within the supply chain organization.
The ideal candidate will have a degree and relevant experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement, with strong analytical skills and the ability to plan strategically based on data insights. They should be flexible and agile in dealing with a complex organization, possess strong communication and presentation skills, and be willing to travel and attend global calls.
