Our client is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to provide strategic leadership for the Human Resources Department. The VPHR will oversee employee benefit programs, compensation systems, recruitment, policy administration, employee relations, and staff training. They will also serve as an advisor to college administration, the Board of Trustees, and employees on policy interpretation, regulatory changes, and human resources issues. The VPHR will lead compliance efforts related to employment laws and collective bargaining agreements, as well as provide guidance on employee development, retention, and performance management processes. Additionally, they will manage the Human Resources team, financial operations, and budget.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of HR experience, preferably in higher education or public service sectors, with a track record of progressive leadership. Strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and a commitment to integrity and confidentiality are essential. A Masters degree and relevant certifications are preferred, along with knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
