Our client in South Dakota is seeking a Vice President of Health Affairs and Chief Nursing Officer (VPHA) to lead its nursing program. The VPHA will oversee curricular programming, faculty and staff supervision, student success, fundraising, community partnerships, and compliance with accrediting bodies. This individual will work closely with the Executive Vice President and Provost at our client and collaborate with leadership at Avera Health, a Catholic health system in the Midwest. The VPHA must demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence, budgeting skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment within the nursing program.
Qualifications for the VPHA include a terminal degree, eligibility for tenure, and nursing licensure in South Dakota. The ideal candidate will have experience in academic administration, teaching, faculty development, and program evaluation. Additionally, the VPHA should possess strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to the Benedictine tradition and Catholic intellectual values. Our client offers undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, including a nurse anesthesia program, a nurse practitioner program, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
