Our client is seeking a Vice President of Government Affairs for their 503A compounding pharmacy company. This role will report to the CEO/Deputy General Counsel and will be responsible for advocating for the company and serving as a legislative liaison. The Vice President will develop and implement legislative strategies, monitor industry and governmental policies, educate legislators, and collaborate with stakeholders to influence policy decisions. They will also be responsible for drafting testimony, supervising direct reports, and maintaining information resources on legislative and public policy issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in compounding pharmacy settings, a deep understanding of the pharmacy industry, and proven abilities in legislation, advocacy, and government policies.
Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, or Healthcare Administration, with a Master's degree or Juris Doctor highly preferred. A minimum of 4+ years of experience in public policy advocacy, legislative advocacy, or working with government agencies is required, with experience at the Vice President level being a plus. The role is located in Houston, Texas, with the option for a hybrid work arrangement for those residing outside of the Houston area.
