The Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (VPIT/CIO) at the University serves as the senior technology leader, responsible for developing and communicating technology plans and initiatives within the Division of Information Technology. This role involves managing administrative and academic technology support staff, overseeing centrally deployed services, and developing a strategic plan consistent with the University's mission and research activities. The VPIT/CIO also plays a key role in budget management, personnel oversight, and policy development related to information technology, as well as advocating for the use of technology, AI, and cybersecurity in various university operations.The VPIT/CIO collaborates with stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient delivery of information technology services that support the academic and administrative needs of the University. This position requires a deep understanding of the diverse needs of a complex and growing university, as well as a commitment to engaging with various units to meet those needs. The successful candidate will inherit a capable leadership team and will be responsible for developing and executing an IT strategy that enhances the student experience and supports academic, research, and administrative functions at the University.
