
The Vice President for Equity & Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer (VPEI) is a key leadership position at the University, reporting directly to the President. The VPEI is responsible for guiding efforts to embed core equity values across all aspects of the University, leading the development and implementation of plans, programs, and activities that advance the University's mission and values. As the first administrator in this role, the VPEI will help establish our client as a university committed to providing a campus culture where all students and employees can thrive, particularly those from historically marginalized communities. The VPEI works closely with the Office of Equity & Compliance to address discrimination, harassment, and civil rights violations, employing a data-informed approach to enact changes that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion on campus.The VPEI plays a crucial role in creating a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus environment, supporting student success and equitable educational opportunities. This position is responsible for developing strong relationships with various stakeholders and implementing strategies to ensure that our client upholds its commitments to justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging. The VPEI serves as an innovator and strategist, working collaboratively to advance the University's strategic directions and priorities outlined in our client's Road Ahead. By leading efforts to establish an equity infrastructure and promote a culture of inclusivity, the VPEI helps shape the future of our client as a university that values and prioritizes diversity and equity in all aspects of campus life.
