Our client in Brockport, NY is seeking a Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) to serve as the senior administrative and financial officer. The VPAF will be responsible for leadership, management, strategic direction, policy development, and administrative oversight for the Administration and Finance division. With an annual operating budget of $163.1 million, the VPAF will oversee various expenditures including salaries, benefits, academic support, student services, and capital construction projects. The VPAF will provide critical leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery, internal control, compliance, and risk management within the university community.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and significant experience in administrative operations of a large organization. They should possess leadership and management experience in finance, budgeting, and resource planning, as well as a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. The VPAF will oversee a complex division including departments such as Budgeting, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Facilities Maintenance. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach to team building, and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations are essential qualifications for this role. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, knowledge of New York State regulations, experience with collective bargaining, and capital planning expertise.
