Our client is partnering with a hospital system in South Bend, Indiana to find their next Vice President of Patient Access. This role will involve providing leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for patient access services across the system, reporting to the Chief Strategy & Digital Growth Officer. The Vice President will be responsible for transforming and managing patient access and scheduling departments, developing policies and procedures, and ensuring efficient operations.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Chief Strategy and Digital Growth Officer to develop a plan for a digital-first strategy in patient access and scheduling, setting metrics for success, optimizing staffing, automating processes, and monitoring adherence to policies. The Vice President will work with revenue cycle leaders to identify and solve problems, communicate changes to departments, evaluate and counsel personnel, prepare financial reports, and deploy consumer-facing tools. Professional qualifications include five to seven years of experience in patient access management, a background in logistics and lean practices, and a Master's degree.
