The Opportunity WTTW is seeking an experienced finance executive to serve as the organizations Vice President of Finance & Administration (VP of Financeâ€). Reporting to the President & CEO, and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, the VP of Finance will have day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial activities; ensuring that business and support areas are properly coordinated with programmatic areas; serving as a thought leader; overseeing and directing finance and accounting policies and procedures across the organization; and leading efforts for process improvements and performance enhancements. The VP of Finance will also oversee in-house legal whose primary duty is to provide guidance in the areas of rights/IP, licensing, contracts, and compliance. As an important member of the management team, the VP of Finance will work closely with appropriate Board committees, members of the Board of Trustees, and public broadcasting system contacts to implement governance strategies and report on performance. Given the rapidly changing media landscape, this is an important moment in time for WTTW and WFMT. Together with the president and CEO, the leadership team the Board, the VP of Finance will chart a strategic course for the future.
