
The ideal candidate for this position is a values-driven leader with a passion for supporting Indigenous communities in Canada. They must have significant experience in fund development, particularly in managing and growing diverse revenue streams such as corporate sponsorships and major gifts. The candidate should excel at building relationships, both internally with their team and externally with corporate partners, senior executives, and major donors. They should also have a deep understanding of Indigenous cultures, experiences, and issues, and be committed to ongoing growth in cultural competence within the context of Indigenization in Canada.
In addition to their leadership and relationship-building skills, the ideal candidate should be a creative and innovative thinker who can deliver results under pressure. They should be a dynamic communicator and empathetic leader, capable of inspiring and mobilizing others toward shared values and missions. A CFRE designation and fluency in French are considered assets for this role.
