
Join the board of a leading children's charity that has recently undergone a dynamic rebrand. Our client is the UK's largest children's charity, reaching over 350,000 children, parents, and carers every year. They run over 800 specialist services across the UK and have been changing childhoods and lives for over 150 years. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the strategic direction of the Charity, its sound administration, and the advancement of its charitable purposes.
The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with recent and relevant financial experience in a senior role in an organization of comparable scale. They must have strong business acumen, financial leadership experience, and a working knowledge of quality assurance, risk management, and audit principles. This is a voluntary and unpaid position that requires a time commitment of around 20 days a year, including attendance at trustee meetings, strategy days, committee meetings, and preparation for these engagements. Travel costs will be covered, and trustees are appointed for a three-year renewable term.
