The Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University is seeking a Senior Director of Collaborations to lead the center's efforts in expanding its impact across Harvard and globally. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Director will work closely with the Faculty Director to build and nurture a community of scholars, students, and practitioners. Responsibilities include developing and executing a center-wide strategy for collaborations, overseeing a team of five direct reports, and organizing activities to generate research, ideas, and resources. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with strong communication skills, proficient in operations and project management, and able to adapt to a dynamic environment.
The Senior Director will be responsible for identifying connection points within and outside the institution to enhance the visibility and partnerships of the center. They must possess political astuteness, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to excellence in order to engage with various stakeholders effectively. This individual should be highly organized, diplomatic, and supportive of staff development, while also being able to operate with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
