
The Senior Director, Principal and Major Giving will lead and elevate the individual and major giving portfolio at our client, focusing on developing strategies to build a robust pipeline of donors and prospects. This role is critical in transitioning our client to a greater focus on private support from individual donors at the major gift level and above. The Senior Director will personally manage a portfolio of Board of Directors, Leadership Council, and high potential donors, ensuring donors are closely stewarded and presented with opportunities to deepen their relationships with and increase their support of our client. Additionally, the Senior Director will work closely with the Senior Vice President/Chief Advancement Officer and the Chief Executive Officer to steward donors and prospects capable of making principal and higher-level gifts, as well as coordinate solicitation efforts.The Senior Director will manage a principal and major gift portfolio, focusing on building a rigorous moves management system to advance individual giving. They will create strategies for all aspects of principal and major giving, manage personal giving portfolios, coordinate solicitation efforts for Board of Directors, Leadership Council members, and other principal prospects and donors, and oversee event sponsorships for our client's signature events. Additionally, the Senior Director will lead the individual giving team, working with the Senior Vice President/Chief Advancement Officer and Chief Executive Officer to develop and implement donor relationship strategies and solicitation efforts. They will also attend events across the New England and New York region where our client's donor population is present, enhance donor recognition in communication strategies, maintain donor records, develop annual budgets and revenue goals, and support the research and identification of honorees for our client's events.
