Description

Springfield Clinic, a community-based organization with $1B in revenue and more than 650 physicians, is seeking a Senior Director of Finance to join its growing team. The Senior Director of Finance will be responsible for the coordination of the daily operations of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department, completion of special financial projects, analyses, and feasibility studies, providing guidance and supervision to all FP&A department staff and providing general assistance and back up support to the Chief Financial Officer. Principal Responsibilities Provide professional financial leadership across a variety of departments regarding the overall long-term fiscal health and stability of Springfield Clinic. Lead the annual budget and forecasting preparation in consultation with Finance & Accounting Leadership.  Facilitate departmental financial review. Manage the liaison relationship between departments and accounting to investigate any financial questions/discrepancies. Facilitate analytical projects at the direction of the CFO. Oversee the financial records for each project/department that facilitates management reports. Responsible for Physician Compensation Formula and the semi-annual compensation review with Finance Committee. Responsible for financial and statistical reporting. Assist CFO with planning, documentation, and presentations for all Committees as well as all projects within related scope of responsibility. Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures when appropriate. Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy. Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards. Perform other job duties as assigned Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Masters degree preferred. Minimum 8-10 years general accounting/finance experience required. Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare accounting/finance preferred. Minimum 5-7 years supervisory experience required. Microsoft Office experience is required specifically with proficiency in Excel. Springfield, IL is a beautiful and safe community approximately located 3 hours from Chicago and 90 minutes from St. Louis.
