The Senior Counsel position is a hybrid role with 4 days in the office in either NYC or Greenwich, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel. The focus of the role will be on legal matters related to registered funds within the financial services industry. Responsibilities include advising on all registered funds legal matters, drafting and reviewing documentation, ensuring SEC and FINRA compliance, negotiating agreements with fund counterparties, and managing outside counsel as needed. The successful candidate will have a JD from a top law school, be admitted to the NY State Bar, and have 4-10 years of experience in registered funds or mutual funds legal matters.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with the '40 Act, registered fund formation matters, and mutual fund legal matters. They should be a team player with excellent communication skills.
