The Senior Bank Regulatory Counsel position is a newly created role with our client, offering a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days in-office. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role will be a key member of a small legal team, regularly interfacing with business lines and support functions to provide advice on various bank regulatory issues. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, analyzing issues under U.S. federal and state banking laws, monitoring legal and regulatory developments, and participating in implementation or remediation projects related to new regulations.
The successful candidate will have a JD from a top US Law School, be admitted to the NY State Bar, and have 6-10 years of experience working at a law firm, in-house at a financial services institution, and/or regulatory agency. Strong knowledge of various banking laws and regulations is required, along with experience counseling and advising business teams.
