
The Provost is the chief academic officer for the University, providing leadership and guidance to faculty, staff, students, and the Presidents Cabinet in all areas related to Academic Affairs. They also offer counsel to the President and Cabinet on matters related to the management of the University. The Provost leads the Division of Academic Affairs in support of the University's commitment to a largely first-generation, historically underserved student body and advancing inclusive excellence within the academic community. Their leadership in achieving the University's mission is critical, particularly as our client is a Hispanic Serving Institution since 2010.The Office of the Provost is responsible for the overall administration of all academic units within the University as a whole. They are the first among Cabinet colleagues to serve as the Executive in Charge in the Presidents absence. The Provost plays a crucial role in placing students at the center of the educational experience, providing undergraduate and graduate education that facilitates learning within and across disciplines through integrative approaches, emphasizing experiential and service learning, and graduating students with multicultural and international perspectives. This position is essential in ensuring the success and growth of the University in fulfilling its mission and serving its diverse student population.
