
The Sequoia Climate Foundation is seeking a Program Manager to help develop and execute strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in key sectors of the U.S. economy. The Program Manager will work closely with the US Program Director to assess needs, gaps, and opportunities in the field, conduct data-driven research, and identify organizations best positioned to lead initiatives. They will also oversee the grantmaking process, build relationships with grantees, and engage with stakeholders to drive ambitious climate action. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience in climate change or energy policy, strong quantitative and research skills, and a bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
The Program Manager will be responsible for advancing strategy execution, writing investment recommendations, engaging with peer networks, and monitoring developments in the field. They will also work with the Evidence and Learning team to implement an evidence-based approach to grantmaking, ensure adherence to internal processes, and represent the foundation at conferences and meetings. The position offers a competitive salary range of $149,000 - $186,000, along with health and wellness benefits, paid vacation, and a hybrid work model.
