Our client is seeking a Professor of Indigenous Cultural and Creative Industries in the School of Art, Communication and English. The School is known for its research strengths in various areas such as literary studies, creative writing, performance, visual arts, and communication. The successful candidate will be a recognized leader in the creative and cultural industries or a senior academic within the School's recognized areas.The Professor will work closely with First Nations leadership within the university to drive priorities and achieve goals under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment Plan and the University's One Sydney, Many People Strategy. They will provide guidance and leadership on how the School's resources can support decolonization and First Nations sovereignty in Australia. This role will involve building connections with Indigenous communities and organizations, embedding Indigenous knowledge into the curriculum, and leading Indigenous-led research within the School.
