Marshall Health Network (MHN) is a $1.654B, West Virginia-based not-for-profit academic health system committed to improving the health and well-being of over 1.4 million children and adults in 40 counties throughout West Virginia, southern Ohio, and eastern Kentucky. The newly integrated system includes four hospitals, 797 licensed beds, 74 facilities, and 119 locations, offering 116 specialty services and serving over 935,000 outpatient visits annually. The CEO will provide day-to-day leadership and strategic direction for MHN, advancing the mission and vision of the organization while encouraging innovation and creative thinking to ensure continued excellence in healthcare delivery.
The ideal candidate for the President & CEO role will have a minimum of ten years of experience managing operations within a large, complex healthcare organization, preferably an academic medical center, with proven expertise in leading systems integration efforts and cultural transformations. They must possess strong market insight, the ability to implement growth initiatives, and lead meaningful change across strategy, operations, process, culture, and behavior. The successful candidate will have a track record of building consensus, trust, and open communication, as well as strong relationship-building skills and the ability to advocate for the health system's interests in various communities. An advanced degree (such as MBA, MHA, MD, JD) is strongly preferred, and physician executives with significant management experience are encouraged to apply.
