The Possible Zone (TPZ) is a tuition-free, experiential learning program in Boston that helps high school students and young adult associates develop entrepreneurial spirit, skills, and networks to prepare them for future careers. Through hands-on Entrepreneurship programs, students learn design thinking, create prototypes, test business models, and network with professional entrepreneurs. They also have the opportunity to explore STEAM-focused electives and receive support for their well-being. TPZ is seeking mission-driven leaders to join their Board of Directors to help shape and grow the organization, with a focus on advancing economic equity and empowering young people to launch successful careers.
Ideal candidates for the Board of Directors will have diverse professional and lived experiences, a passion for mission-driven work, and a commitment to promoting equity and justice. They should bring expertise in community or nonprofit leadership, education innovation, entrepreneurship, scaling organizations, fundraising, and relationship building. Board members will be expected to actively lead growth initiatives, support fundraising efforts, mentor TPZ students, and uphold the organization's policies and compliance with regulations. The term for board members is three years with the opportunity for renewal, involving quarterly meetings, bi-monthly committee meetings, and participation in board/staff retreats.
