The Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the client Institutional Mortgage Capital on legal matters related to its investment fund management and commercial mortgage lending activities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law in the areas of commercial real estate, finance, or investment funds, with a strong understanding of the Canadian legal and regulatory landscape.
The Legal Counsel will work closely with senior management and external legal counsel to ensure that IMC's business activities are conducted in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for drafting and negotiating legal agreements, conducting legal research, and providing strategic advice to support IMC's growth and expansion initiatives.
