The Joint Chief of Surgery and Medical Director, Perioperative Services will lead a team of surgeons and medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care and safety within the Department of Surgery. They will work closely with the Chief of Staff and hospital boards to develop and implement strategic plans for the department, focusing on evidence-based practices and patient outcomes. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, the Chief will collaborate with other Medical Directors to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the hospital as a whole. They will be responsible for managing resources, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development among staff.
