
The position is responsible for overseeing tax and statutory accounting management across Europe, ensuring compliance and strategic tax planning in various countries. The role reports to the Director of Tax and involves managing a team across Europe. The ideal candidate will be a certified accountant with extensive in-house tax expertise, a strong understanding of tax legislation and regulations, and experience in statutory accounting. Effective communication skills, team management experience, and the ability to inspire others towards shared objectives are also key requirements. Responsibilities include overseeing compliance with tax regulations in diverse European jurisdictions, ensuring timely completion and filing of all statutory reporting requirements and tax returns, and managing a team of 10 direct reports across EMEA.
In addition to overseeing compliance and corporate tax, the role also involves managing the Regional Insurance function for Europe and acting as a liaison with Corporate Insurance. The successful candidate will need to have a result-oriented methodology, be adaptable and proactive, and have experience in developing and coaching junior individuals.
