The Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Director to lead a new St. Louis Innovation Team (i-team) as part of the Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities initiative. The Director will work closely with the Mayor, city leadership, and departments to tackle big problems in the city, generate ambitious responses, and test interventions until they produce impact. The Director will be based in St. Louis City Hall and report to a senior government official, overseeing the i-team's work on climate action and racial wealth equity.
The Director will lead an equity-centered, design-based innovation approach to problem-solving, collaborating with city government colleagues, community organizations, and stakeholders to co-create and manage innovative solutions. They will manage the diverse skill sets of the i-team, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and strengthen the capacity of city government and community-based organizations to implement transformative solutions. The Director will also participate in a national network of civic-sector innovation experts, communicate progress to stakeholders, and share best practices for innovation throughout city government. The salary range for i-team Directors across the country is $115,400 - $202,000, with adjustments based on local market and cost of living data.
