The Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Director to lead a new Pittsburgh Innovation Team (i-team) as part of the Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities initiative. The Director will work closely with the Mayor, city leadership, and community organizations to tackle big problems in the city, generate ambitious responses, and test interventions until they produce impact. The Director will lead an equity-centered, design-based innovation approach to problem-solving, focusing on climate action and advancing racial wealth equity. They will collaborate with stakeholders, manage a high-performing team, and oversee the development and implementation of transformative solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale transformations, managing diverse stakeholders, and delivering innovation results in the public, nonprofit, or private sector. They should have a passion for equitably reducing climate pollution, addressing climate change impacts, and improving conditions for historically disadvantaged communities. The Director will be compensated in a range of $115,400 - $202,000, with total rewards including health, life, career, and retirement benefits.
