The Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Director to lead a new Charlotte Innovation Team (i-team) as part of the Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities initiative. The Director will work closely with the Mayor, city leadership, and departments to tackle big problems in the city, generate ambitious responses, and test interventions until they produce impact. The Director will lead an equity-centered, design-based innovation approach to problem-solving, collaborating with city government colleagues, community organizations, and stakeholders to drive climate action and advance racial wealth equity.
The Director will oversee the i-team's work on Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities, managing a diverse team and leveraging technical expertise to maximize creativity and impact. They will also work to strengthen relationships with stakeholders, foster collaboration, and inspire the team to challenge the status quo. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale transformations, managing high-performing teams, and working collaboratively with government, community, and private sector leaders. The salary range for i-team Directors across the country is $115,400 - $202,000, with adjustments based on location and cost of living data.
