The Heritage & Engagement Director role at the client involves leading the conservation, collections management, storytelling, and public engagement efforts for one of the UK's most beloved estates. With a rich history spanning 900 years, the estate has been a glamorous retreat with a unique legacy of female ownership, including medieval queens and Anglo-American millionaires. The Grade I listed castle is set within 990 acres of stunning Kent parkland, offering a living, breathing historical experience for over 500,000 annual visitors.
The successful candidate will oversee a diverse range of popular events at the client, including Christmas Lights, Fireworks, Queens Joust, and Motors by the Moat, providing a unique blend of history, relaxation, and entertainment. With four major gardens and three playgrounds on the grounds, the Heritage & Engagement Director will play a key role in engaging the public with the heritage of the client and ensuring its continued preservation for future generations to enjoy.
