The Head of School will oversee all aspects of the educational and extra-curricular programs, activities, and operations at the school. This includes supervising the hiring, firing, evaluating, and retaining of faculty in partnership with the principals, as well as leading start of school training for teachers and ensuring proper accreditations. They will also be responsible for developing job descriptions, overseeing evaluations, determining teaching needs and assignments, and maintaining accurate school records to meet State requirements. Additionally, the Head of School will work with principals to address discipline and safety issues, approve recommendations for student discipline, and create a safe environment throughout the school.In terms of finances, the Head of School will work with various stakeholders to prepare the annual school budget, determine annual salaries, oversee spending, and engage in fundraising efforts. They will also be responsible for articulating the school's Christian philosophy, mission, and goals, as well as handling public relations and recruitment. The Head of School will preside at formal assemblies and commencement exercises, work on non-academic supervision and administration, and lead staff/faculty devotions to maintain overall morale in the school. Additionally, they will work with the Marketing Director to develop a strategic marketing plan, maintain compliance with laws and regulations, develop agendas for School Committee meetings, and cooperate with the Executive Pastor and HR Department for staff development and compliance with required certifications.
