The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is seeking a Head of People to take ownership of the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including talent management, learning, DE&I, employee engagement, culture, and wellbeing. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the client's people strategy, lead the implementation of the delivery plan, and develop effective employment policies and processes that comply with legislation and support the client's aims. They will also drive the delivery of People KPIs, provide regular people data and insights to the executive team, and manage the annual review of pay and benefits. Additionally, the Head of People will provide expert guidance on various people matters, oversee complex cases, and lead the procurement process for all people service providers.
The ideal candidate will have previous senior leadership experience, a proven record of delivery, and experience in developing, driving, and embedding transformational change. They should possess outstanding communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of employment law. The successful candidate will also have commercial acumen, the ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion, and a passion for collaborating with people. A relevant professional qualification and a minimum of 10+ years of post-qualification experience are required for this role, which offers an exciting opportunity for career progression into a Chief People Officer role.
