The newly created Head of Logistics position will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for defining and leading the Group's logistics strategy. The client, headquartered in North Yorkshire, has a turnover of approximately 130 million and employs 350 individuals across 17 sites in Yorkshire and Lancashire. Known for its commitment to excellence, the client provides a wide range of products and services to local communities and businesses, maintaining strong regional ties and focusing on sustainability and innovation in its operations.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to leverage the wealth of experience within the logistics team while modernizing processes and leading a cultural shift towards greater flexibility and operational efficiency. Responsibilities will include developing and executing a comprehensive transport strategy aligned with business goals, overseeing daily transport operations, implementing best-in-class logistics processes, and managing the logistics function's full Profit & Loss (P&L). The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, extensive experience in a senior transport or logistics role, and a proven track record of leading large-scale transport operations and driving efficiency improvements.
