A globally acclaimed independent consultancy in the water and environmental sectors is seeking a Head of Finance to support the CFO with growth initiatives. The role will involve internalizing and professionalizing the finance function, with a focus on controllership initially, and later evolving to include responsibilities such as driving M&A strategy, project profitability, pricing, and market expansion. The ideal candidate will have expertise in deferred/accrued revenue, revenue recognition, international consolidations, and multicurrency environments, along with a strong understanding of transfer pricing, US GAAP, and IFRS. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, managing international consolidation processes, overseeing revenue recognition, and leading the implementation of ERP systems.
The successful candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, including budgeting and managing schedules/reconciliations, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An ACA qualification is essential, along with proficiency in US GAAP, IFRS, ERP systems (preferably Netsuite), and technical accounting knowledge. Experience in a Private Equity environment with recurring revenue models or professional services is preferred, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The Head of Finance will also be responsible for managing a team, implementing improved processes, working with auditors, and supporting growth in shared services while ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
