The Head of External Reporting role is a newly created position within our client, a global leader in the industrial sector. This role will involve overseeing the preparation of all external reporting and disclosures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with various internal departments, such as Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Investor Relations, to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial disclosures. Additionally, they will be responsible for coordinating with external auditors, maintaining internal controls, and staying informed on regulatory changes.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience. Certification as a CPA and a strong understanding of IFRS are advantageous. Experience in a publicly traded company, knowledge of SIX Swiss Exchange requirements, and familiarity with regulatory 144A requirements for US investors are preferred. Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and mentor a team are essential for success in this role.
