The client is seeking a Head of Category Technology to join their team. This role involves leading a team of technology procurement professionals to deliver objectives and initiatives within the Technology category. The successful candidate will work closely with central government departments and other public sector organizations to develop strategies and interface with IT strategic suppliers. With a focus on IT procurement, products, and services, this role plays a crucial part in delivering value across the public sector.
As part of the Commercial Directorate, the Head of Category Technology will be responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 130 technology procurement professionals. This role involves collaborating with key central government departments and various public sector organizations to lead initiatives and strategies within the Technology category. The successful candidate will work closely with IT strategic suppliers to ensure the delivery of objectives and value across all aspects of IT procurement.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in public procurement and IT, with experience in leading teams and developing strategies. The Head of Category Technology will play a key role in delivering value across the public sector by working closely with central government departments, public sector organizations, and IT strategic suppliers.
