The Group Manager - Regulatory and Compliance will be responsible for overseeing regulatory and compliance functions at our client, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. The role will involve a combination of strategic planning and operational execution, with a focus on delivering high-quality, customer-focused building control and planning services for the district. The successful candidate will need to bring a forward-thinking and innovative approach to the role, seeking opportunities for further development and improvement.In addition to managing building control and planning, the Group Manager will also oversee Environmental Health, Liquor Licensing, Animal Control, and Compliance functions within the Council. With four direct reports, the role will require strong leadership skills to develop and empower a high-performing, customer-centric regulatory team. The ideal candidate will need to have a broad perspective, looking beyond the district and local government sector to identify best practices and opportunities for collaboration and improvement.
