A fast-growing, PE backed business is seeking a highly experienced Group Financial Controller to join their team. This role will oversee and consolidate all financial aspects of the business, acting as the right hand to the CFO and offering succession planning into this role. The successful candidate will drive the financial strategy and planning, ensuring robust financial management and fostering growth and transformation. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting. Strong technical and commercial acumen, along with excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
Key responsibilities include leadership and development of the finance team, overseeing financial reporting, managing audit and compliance, leading budgeting and planning processes, and collaborating with functional heads for financial insights. The Group Financial Controller will also streamline FP&A processes, establish project accounting capabilities, design internal controls, oversee day-to-day accounting operations, and evaluate and improve financial systems. Additionally, the role involves providing financial analysis, managing cashflow and tax compliance, developing stakeholder relations, refining KPIs for board reporting, and supporting M&A activities.
