A fast-growing, PE backed business is seeking a highly experienced Group Financial Controller to join their team. This role will involve overseeing and consolidating all financial aspects of the business, acting as the right hand to the CFO and offering succession planning into this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the financial strategy and planning, ensuring robust financial management, and fostering growth and transformation. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting, as well as strong technical and commercial acumen.
Key responsibilities for this role include leadership and development of the finance team, overseeing financial reporting, managing audit and compliance, leading budgeting and planning processes, and collaborating with functional heads for financial insights. The Group Financial Controller will also be responsible for streamlining FP&A processes, establishing project accounting capabilities, designing internal controls, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, and evaluating and improving financial systems. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide financial analysis, manage cashflow and tax compliance, develop financial strategy, and support board reporting and M&A activities.
