Join a global outdoor clothing brand that is launching in Japan and be the first General Manager hire to build the Japan business from scratch. Our client has just entered the Japan market with its first flagship store opening in late 2024. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for creating a growth strategy, launching the flagship store in Osaka, hiring local talent, and overseeing operations in both Tokyo and Osaka. You will work closely with Global/APAC stakeholders to align business growth strategies and must have 10+ years of experience in the retail/fashion industry in Japan, with native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
The successful applicant will have outdoor clothing brand experience in Japan, a proven track record of scaling up business operations, and be available for frequent travel to the Osaka flagship store.
