The Fire Chief will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Fire Department, including administration, fire suppression, prevention, tactical firefighting, and staff training. They will also oversee the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Fire Chief will have a high level of autonomy in making operational and administrative decisions, while also providing collaborative leadership and strategic direction for the organization.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in emergency response management, and a thorough understanding of fire department operations. They must be able to effectively navigate complex issues with city-wide implications and contribute to policy development.
