Japan boasts the world's third largest economy following the United States and the People's Republic of China, with leading companies including Nissan, Sony and Nikon. The Nikkei 225 technology index has a fabled history on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and therefore provides an interesting starting point the executive job hunters in Japan.

AESC Japan Group

In May 2009, in the offices of Heidrick & Struggles, AESC member executive recruiters met to discuss the current market for executive talent, perceptions of executive search in the candidate and client communities, and ways to raise the ethical standards of the profession.
