The Post-Secondary Employers' Association (PSEA) represents public colleges, institutes, and special-purpose teaching universities in British Columbia, collectively known as the BC Post-Secondary sector. Governed by the College & Institute Act and the University Act, PSEA serves as the employer bargaining agent for these institutions. Established in 1993 as part of a centralized labour relations infrastructure, PSEA works to support the provincial government in setting a provincial bargaining mandate aligned with fiscal goals, while also providing employers with some autonomy. PSEA is one of six public sector employers associations in BC, playing a key role in negotiating agreements and representing the interests of post-secondary institutions in the province.
