Our client in Chicago is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as its next Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (ED/CEO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the organization in its continued success and growth as a renowned community arts organization, fostering inclusivity, innovation, and excellence in all aspects of teaching, programming, and operations. The ED/CEO will directly manage a senior team of leaders, oversee 340 employees, and manage an operating budget of approximately $14.5 million. Additionally, the ED/CEO will be responsible for the oversight of three facilities owned and operated by the organization and will report directly to the Board of Directors.
The organization is the largest community music school in the U.S., providing arts education programming to thousands of children each year throughout Chicago. The Music Moves initiative connects community partners in underserved neighborhoods with high-quality arts programming, promoting equity through performance and discourse related to personal growth and imagination.
